Tyr Tank Builds: Component Loadout Examples

Example Tyr component loadouts for Ranger, Atlas, Seeker, and Arbalest, based on documented flat and percentage component effects.

Case Answer Community Answer

Strong Tyr loadouts balance flat shell damage components like Duplicator (+5) and Shell Charger (+7.5) with durability components like Bulkheads (+8.5% max health), paired with ammunition suited to the engagement range. These are community example loadouts, not developer-prescribed builds.

Tactical Overview

Customization is the core tactical layer in Tyr. Each combat vehicle offers its own tech tree and ammunition and component slots, letting you upgrade and evolve your ride to suit your playstyle. This guide collects example loadouts built from components whose effects are documented by Tyr HQ. They are community suggestions, not developer-prescribed meta.

Documented Component Effects

The following component and talent effects appear in Tyr HQ’s damage calculation article and are used below:

Component / TalentDocumented Effect
Duplicator+5 flat shell damage
Shell Charger+7.5 flat shell damage
Bulkheads+8.5% max health (percent buff, shares the additive pool)
Shell Damage talent+10 flat shell damage (example values)
Max Health talent+200 flat max health (example values)
Adaptive HardeningPercentage damage reduction while spotted, ramping per second up to a cap
Reactive ModulesPercentage damage reduction after a module is broken
Micro PlatingFlat damage reduction per hit
Hot ChamberPercentage shell damage buff after a reload, for a short window

Exact percentages and base values are illustrative per vehicle, per Tyr HQ’s own disclaimer; the order and the math run the same way for every shot.

Example Loadouts

1. Ranger: Skirmisher

Ranger is an all-rounder medium with 1375 HP, 195 shell damage, and 70 penetration.

  • Firepower: Duplicator (+5 flat) + Shell Charger (+7.5 flat)
  • Durability: Bulkheads (+8.5% max health)
  • Ammunition: High Explosive (1.20x)

With flat firepower, base shell damage reaches 207.5; High Explosive multiplies that to 249 muzzle damage. Bulkheads raises Ranger’s health pool to roughly 1491 HP.

2. Atlas: Bunker

Atlas has the largest documented durability pool at 2050 HP with 360 alpha damage.

  • Durability: Bulkheads (+8.5%) + Adaptive Hardening + Reactive Modules
  • Firepower: Shell Charger (+7.5 flat)
  • Ammunition: Standard or Gargantuan

Defense-chain components multiply in sequence, so stacking them compounds: 8% and 10% reductions become roughly 17.2% total, not 18%.

3. Seeker: Scout

Seeker leads the mobility spectrum at 75 speed with 850 HP and 155 alpha damage.

  • Ammunition: shells tuned for the engagement plan
  • Tactics: use bushes to shrink your detection radius, break line of sight to start the 7-second spot cooldown, and let the team’s spotters share vision

4. Arbalest: Long-Range

Arbalest delivers the highest medium-platform punch at 400 base cannon damage and 100 penetration.

  • Firepower: Shell Charger (+7.5 flat)
  • Ammunition: Standard or High Explosive
  • Tactics: hold long corridors; the 400 damage value lets a Standard shell hit for 400 before enemy defenses

Component Priority Notes

From the documented effects above, flat firepower components (Duplicator, Shell Charger) scale directly with the vehicle’s base shell damage, while percentage components (Bulkheads) share one additive pool and never compound. The defense-chain components (Adaptive Hardening, Reactive Modules, Micro Plating) multiply in sequence on the receiving side. This is the core balance lever in the game, per Tyr HQ.
